Does this one not crash every 5 minutes? Seriously, this better work or I'm checking out Opera.

Thanks for that. Can't see any improvements in speed, it was quick on my machine anyway. Hopefully though, it won't die when loading flash on yahoo now :(

Does this one fix the issue where firefox uses a large percentage of CPU (up to 100%) for just being open after an extended period of time?

I can't imagine what anyone could do to screw up their system so badly that a simple browser crashes every 5 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up... 3.0.10 is much snappier than 3.0.9 or 3.0.8. To be honest I hadn't really noticed the performance degradation the older versions caused until I just upgraded!
I too have been having alot of random Firefox crashes, my windows reliability index and error logs are littered with Firefox crashes, while opera has never once crashed one me in the 3+ years I have been using it.

Everything else on my system runs 24/7 no problem. ~5 minutes is a bit of an exaggeration, but it is the only thing that crashes when I close the app.

I agree; it doesn't seem any faster to me than 3.0.09 (not that I was expecting it to be).

3.0.10 has been a welcome improvement for me.

Once I'm finished with this semester though, I'll be doing a clean install on this system to get a fresh start for summer and fall classes.

Hopefully without all the bloat from the software that has built up over that time will help the performance.

Unable to view Flash movies on Youtube with this new update.

Maybe its time to look at Opera.

In FF, got to tools> options> advanced> update. Then just check or uncheck the boxes for automatically updating, Firefox, installed add-ons and search engines. :spinny:

I just installed this new version and have had no such problems.

Do you have the flash plug-in?

Sometimes when I am typing a comment or something, say on facebook or a forum, it really lags! I can type a whole sentence with nothing showing up, then boom it types a couple seconds later.

I have a brand new HP HDX18t, I know it's not anything on my laptop.

    Anybody else noticing this?

Ok thanks. That worked. I'll give firefox another go, but if it randomly crashes or starts to use 100% CPU over an extended period of time. Opera stays for a long time.

How's Chrome these days? Been a while since I checked it.
