Also, for anyone still using Fx2... 2.0.0.18 came out at the same time as 3.0.4. -
Just crashed three times in a row on completely different web pages. I might roll back to previous release.

Is FF3.0.x slow to start for anyone?
Sometimes when I open FF it takes just a bit longer than normal to start. Other times it's quick-fast like a bullet!
No extensions or anything. Just a default set-up on 3.0.4 -
I have 3.0.4, 3.1b1, and 3.1b2pre installed, and all of them open in about half a second with a clean profile. With about 10 extensions installed, each takes about a second or a second and a half.
-
don't know what the problem was but it wouldn't run for me. it installed and opened, but didn't load pages. had to revert back to 3.0.3. Have comodo installed, maybe that's why. will give it a shot again.
-
No problems yet, using it in Linux and Windows.

cheers ... -
I doubt Comodo is causing problems; I also have it installed. However, it could be blocking it from modifying files it needs to update, depending on your settings. Mine notifies me that FF is trying to create a new dir or modify files, and I have to approve it.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, but it has a bit of a learning curve. I highly suggest reading the help files thoroughly. If you decide not to install their anti-virus component, it will still be in the help files. It may also do it's own virus check before installing regardless of if you install the AV. -

thanks for suggestion, Hiker!
