I updated through Menu/Help/Check for Updates this morning. Firefox 3.5 has been my primary browser since beta #4; looking forward to the final release.

    Trying it right now.
I was planning to wait until the final build is released, but recently my FF 3.0.11 screwed up much more than ever before that I couldn't wait anymore (caused my computer to be really sluggish after a few minutes of opening the program.)

Yes as in it will update without re-installing

or Yes as in you will have to uninstall the RC and then install the final version? (like what happened when Firefox went from 2.0 to 3.0)

I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. I was surprised 3.5 installed over 3.0

Yeah or at least you just had to double click to open a new one.

I think Tab Mix Plus (which is disabled with 3.5) had the open tab button

    That still works

Interestingly, I just downloaded 3.5 on a friends laptop that runs Vista, and FF didn't have the open new tab tab.

Found the problem.   The theme only showed a sliver when I moused over where the open new tab button normally sits. Works fine with the default theme.
