    Is it a Lenovo?

Some notebook manufacturers install there own wireless management software. It may have the option of overriding the browser homepage.

If it's a Lenovo and your using Access Connections to manage your wireless connections then you probably have a homepage override set in Access Connections. You'd want this if you wanted your homepage to change depending on which wireless access point you were connected to. To disable it Open Access Connections > Manage > select your wireless profile > edit > click "additional settings" tab > make sure override homepage in unchecked. I'm using Access Connections 5.21, the menus might be different if your using a different version.

I get the new Yahoo page in both IE 8 and FF 3.5, but more frequently in FF.

What's weird is that I get the new Yahoo page on some of my computers (all the time) and never get the new page on my other computers. They all have FF 3.5.3 and IE8 installed so it's not a question of different browsers on different computers. The browser settings are the same on all computers and I never "opted in" to get the new page on any of the computers.

    Hmm....

My first idea for a changed website would be malware - but it would be a bit much.
It can't affect so many computers...
(at least unlikely all ar in this forum - worldwide, yes)

    Strange, strange...

Maybe send an e-mail to Yahoo about it?

Edit: I get the new page all the times in FF 3.5 and getting the old page all the times in IE 8 (with a sneak peak top bar).

Well the way it was formulated...

And not regularly... changed internet adresses are one of the simple tricks.
    But maybe it is.

That's the new Yahoo.com main webpage OP. It's been like that for me for the last couple of months on and off. I guess they are just trying to get users used to the new look which i'm not to crazy about. :p

It sometimes loads the new page instead of the old Yahoo.com webpage. Sometimes just reloading the page in FF/Opera or IE the new page will randomly appear. Oh will I guess it's progress.

No its on my desktop (XP). The weird thing is that I still get the old yahoo on my dell XPS running Windows 7 with Firefox 3.5. Its very annoying that they are forcing their new site on some of us. I havent try IE but will try later on tonight. I guess if I cant find a fix for it on my desktop then its time for a new homepage.
