    Ah, was actually looking for a 3.6 on the title at least :p Having all browser updates in one thread seems messy. Can imagine people talking for at least 2 different browsers at the same time, chaos :(

    Since this is a fairly major release it can have its own thread. For little incremental updates, the browser thread is more appropriate.

    I'm liking the personas thing. Neat idea and implemented well IMO.

    Yea and the best part is that you can see how they will look like with just a mouseover.

    Thank's for the info. Loving the new persona. Having to much fun scrolling through them all!

    Oh, and to add. We could also change the name of this thread possibly to something like "Firefox 3.6: What's You're Persona?"?

    Just a thought. Might be cool to discuss what other people are using.

    As for me, I am using Firefox Blue.

    I just found out about persona interesting.

    I already made one and submitted it to the gallery :D

    I admit most of them are more distracting than anything, its hard to put an image behind UI type components, so just basic flat stuff works best.

    You mean "What's YOUR Persona."

    Lol. Persona's just remind me of Chrome themes.

    Something getting used to: links opened into new tabs now appear to the right of the original tab instead of appearing at the farthest right.... its like IE now... aw....

    ... wanna change it back.

    added: most of the personas themes were 'too distracting' for me... opted with the regular ff 4.0 mockup theme that I had before when using 3.5

    Yea I just noticed that - I don't like it either. I'm going to sift through the settings to see if I can change it back.

    EDIT: I didn't find anything in the settings. Bummer.

    I was really look forward for 3.6 release. But apparently, this happened after I restart Firefox from the automatic update.

    Code:
    XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
    Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
    Line Number 250, Column 5:    <key id='manBookmarkKb' key="&bookmarksCmd.commandkey;" command="Browser:ShowAllBookmarks" modifiers="accel,shift"/>
    ----^
    Anyone can help me out of this mess? Thankfully I still have Chrome as my back-up browser.

    Unistall, reinstall - or try to manually download and install over it.

    found it!

    -> about:config
    -> tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
    ---> set to false.

    works! aaaaaaaaaaaahh! i'm back. I'm just sooo used to having all my 'todo' tabs that I've opened from different sites at the far right ready for me to browse.

    this is the navigation bar, the one with the backforward buttons, and the address bar and such. looks like somehow, your file got messed up.

    a reinstall could help, or deleting the firefox profile and start with a fresh one? (run 'firefox.exe -P' to get to the profile menu)

    I don't like it either. Why do they have to randomly change things for no reason! Also the Microsoft .NET Framework assistant is back in the add ons... what joy.

    the tab thing: they changed it to the default all other browsers have, so people have some consistency when they switch. bad for existing users (a bit), but good for new customers.

    the .net framework addon is good for you, again, to have firefox deliver the same experience other browsers have by default. the way it got delivered at start was not that well (but, from a developers perspective, very understandable), but the feature is nice, even while not used much yet.

    in other news: it looks like internally quite some things changed. i have multiple tabs as start pages, and before 3.6, each of them made an individual proxy logon popup when going trough a proxy server. now, they don't. there's just one popup.

    looks like they merged some "for each page individually" code towards "once for the app" code. that could lead to the performance gains, obviously.

    I'm noticing that memory leakage is almost non-existent compared to earlier versions which is wonderful for someone like me who keeps many windows and tabs open simultaneously!

    The front looks a bit smaller in 3.6.

    I was used to it like that as well but I left it on default in 3.6. It just makes more sense to open the new tab right next to the one from where it was opened, quicker to switch to it as well.

    One thing I noticed is that Java Console 6.0.17 is listed as an Extension now instead of a Plug-in. Anyone noticed this?

    For me it's way more convenient to have the tabs open at the far right because when I load up NBR I generally open up a bunch of threads and tabs at once, then go through them in the order that I open them. If tabs opened next to the open ones, it would totally throw me off. Just personal preference.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Simply uninstall and reinstall didn't fix my problem. I had to clean up everything using Revo Uninstaller and then reinstall. Had to configure all the options and add-ons from scratch. Glad to say that it's now working perfectly. I hope the improvements of FF 3.6 is good enough for all this trouble. :)

    yeah, that reverse order would totally throw you off :) happily firefox is customizable as nothing else :)

    you tried just creating a new firefox profile like i suggested? would have been the more simple fix.
