    Hey Maxine,
I think I'll wait for Firefox to update itself, thank you. :rolleyes2:

Does Firefox 32 do anything significant that 31 can't? Any reason I might want to switch to it as a main browser?

The problem with the quick-release model is by and large there's nothing the average person cares about new in each version. So why bother checking out a new version? When Firefox 3 came out, it was a big deal. Same with 3.5. When IE12 comes out, it'll be a big deal. With 25 - 31, the Australis update is the only significant one I can think of in 7 versions.

True, putting Australis' ugly interface aside, every version of Firefox was no different to me as a user than the one before other than under-the-hood changes so you can wait no rush to update

I suspect it's for security update reasons. (and more bloat) Each release seems to be larger in size.

I really dislike how the recent release of Firefox arranges the bookmarks, before I go to something like "Bookmark This Page" on the Bookmarks tab and it allows me to store the page in a particular section or folder. Recently that option was removed and is replaced with a star icon. Now when I press that it just stuffs the page into the "Unsorted Bookmarks" section and leaves it without asking where I like to place it in which I find pretty annoying.

Lately I just been bookmarking by right-clicking on the page to overcome this issue but the latest release took out the worded menu and placed that dreaded star symbol which thankfully haven't changed anything... yet.

I have Firefox 24 ESR at work, which is where I use Firefox the most. Since I recently re-installed Windows at home, I put Firefox 31 ESR on. Australis is the only difference I've noticed yet (assuming the new menu things in the upper-right is part of Australis, which I believe they are). I'm undecided yet on whether I like Australis or not. So far my thoughts are it's better than Chrome (since the menu is still visible), but I'm not sure I like it more than Firefox 24 or Opera 12's UI. Non-active tabs also bleed into the background too much, making them difficult to visually separate, at least on the Luna theme. So... slick, but it may be a downgrade functionally.

Of the menus on the right, eight of the ten are ones I already use keyboard shortcuts for in other browsers, Options and Add-ons being the exceptions and also the ones I use the least. And the zoom control is no more handy than keyboard shortcuts. But then again, I may be coming at this from the perspective of someone who uses vi wondering what's so great about Word.

24 ESR is the oldest version of Firefox that's still supported, but I think its recent update was its last one, so soon 31 will be the most recent supported one. Assuming you care about whether the browser is supported, that is.

Opera 12 and Internet Explorer still let you choose where to save bookmarks when you bookmark a page. Not that I'd recommend switching to IE from Firefox just for that.

FF 22 had a weird zoom bug at the time of release and I couldn't be bothered with it.

I've been using this theme and this addon since the initial days of Firefox 4. Nothing beats being able to enjoy the benefits of new(er) Firefox versions but still keeping that vanilla Firefox 3 look. I personally still find Firefox 3's UI to be the best and most functional.

Right, but what about the security updates? aren't you concerned? wouldn't it be better to run FF29 at least with your favorite theme?

Not in the least bit, otherwise I wouldn't be using MSE.

No point fixing something that isn't broke.
