It is supposed to be out officially on June 21 .. that's in a few hours I guess.. and I did see report' around that the final version is indeed out already since the last few days... though there are always the possibility of last minute tweaks until it is officially made official! Cheers...

And btw, FileHippo IS a reliable software source, FYI :)

If you really want the latest stuff from mozilla.org, then check their FTP server regularily: ftp.mozilla.org

No, it most certainly is the final. Just because they haven't updated the website, doesn't mean it isn't technically "out" via the ftp server.

Well, it reduced my average memory consumption by 2/3, which was starting to bother me since 4. Back almost back to my old 3.5 levels.

i think there is also a change transition effect on opening and closing tabs in v5 compared to v4... at least that is what I'm noticing right now.

still a lot slower load times than Chrome, Chrome is literally instantaneous for me, Firefox has to load a little, especially on certain sites where it actually lags, Chrome is smooth and quick

Now when people ask if it's as good as Chrome the Mozilla Group can say they're closer than ever.
