When I check out the add-ons under tools, it says "this add-on will be installed when you restart firefox" for each one.
I restart and nothing changes. Restarted the computer a few times and still nothing.
Has this happened to anyone else? I am using Vista if it means anything. No such issues on my work computer.
The only difference from a standard configuration is that I was using FireFox Pre-loader for a while. I have disabled it to test but still no luck.

what addons are you using?

This is a known issue that happens for some users when they update to 2.0.0.8.
There is supposed to be a 2.0.0.9. this week sometime. Here is the info on that, and a work-around to get your add-ons working again in 2.0.0.8. as well. -
Excellent! Thanks for the help figuring it out.
Nizzy, I am using mouse gestures and ad-block. -
i had the same problems....i think the bug lies with actually 'upgrading'....just uninstall firefox completely and reinstall using the download package from the site and you should not have any problems

You can get 2.0.0.9. now.
-
this time around...with 2.0.0.9 no chrome registration errors!
-
Good for you but i never had any problems with FF to begin with so i don't know how you guys keep on getting errors.
-
I haven't either Calvin, but it's well documented on the Mozilla site that there were problems for some.
-
don't ask me...i have no clue what was going on....however, everytime is started up FF, i got 3 chrome registration errors in a row and I had to press OK each time for FF to actually start up...by uninstalling FF completely and then installing, it worked fine...so something was wrong with the 'upgrade' portion
upgrade to 2.0.09 worked fine w/o errors -

If anyone is really that interested they can follow the link in my first reply to the bug links and read the details behind each of them.

No one wants to see squished bugs. It's creepy.
