so firefox just automatically added updates that I did not consent to, and when I restarted firefox, I got this stupid bar at the bottom of the browser that I can't get rid of. There is a red ^ arrow in the bar that appears to be useless. Anyone know how to get rid of this? I've provided a picture.

    --nevermind I just did a fresh uninstall/reinstall.

Wow! How annoying. I turn off updates for Firefox. There've been enough buggy releases that I'd rather choose when to update.
