I just got my new thinkpad with vista installed on it. I set firefox as my default browser, however, links in other programs open a IE window. I'm not sure how to correct this. Any ideas?
On my other vista computer it's just fine. Albeit, it is Vista RC2, and his is RTM Home Premium.

You mean for programs, such as instant messengers? I know that some instant messengers (like Windows Live Messenger/MSN) use Windows Explorer as the default browser.

Yeah. IM is one I'm having trouble with. But I'm using trillian. I've never had a problem doing this before with trillian. Unless it's because I'm using the newest version of trillian perhaps?

Did you look at the settings for Trillian to see if you can change the default browser for links? I'm not sure how it's done for Trillian (since I don't use it, but surely, there has to be a way).
