Ok, trying to get Firefox to install on my Dads 1520. (Vista home premium). When it starts actaully intalling, it says this and closes: Error Opening File For Writing and then the path. Ive tried installing multiple times and did several sys. retores. This all happened after I uninstalled Beta 3 because of bugs, now im trying to get 2, but it wont work. Please help me, and urgent because he is leaving soon and needs this fixed. Thanks! :) :)

I've only ever used FF on XP, but you might want to make sure that there are no Mozilla FF folders in the Users directory.

I once made a mess of FF so I decided to reinstall it. That was easy, but I was mystified that all the extensions, which I thought had been removed with FF, appeared with the new installation. Long story short, I had to delete all Mozilla folders before I could start afresh.

I suggest you do a search for Mozilla and delete the directories.

Oh and you might want to try turning it off and on again. It is Windows, after all.

Uninstall all traces of Firefox, delete Firefox folders (temp and whatnot), restart, try again, maybe download a new install file......just work with it.....
