I have firefox set to open the homepage whenever I open the program, but when I do open it, it shows the last page I visted. Why aren't the settings working?

if the settings show everything correctly, try a new profile (firefox.exe -m it is, i think), and check if it works, there. if so, your profile might be messed up.

other than that, it should depend on the settings.

i'm not a firefox user anymore, though. so i'm not up to date.

FF 4 has a bug, where it will open the last visited page/tab when you are downloading files and close a web page.

Were you downloading anything before you closed the web page?
