Have you deleted the user folder?
    Try this:
    Win + R
    Type: %appdata%
Delete the Firefox folder(in the Mozilla Folder).

Must be a problem in your user profile, what were the recent addons you installed?

Firefox 3 should fix all of FF2's problems.

Seems like you always have issues with this kind of stuff or am I mixing up people? Haha. You're using FF3 RC1 I'm presuming? Did you have these issues on Beta 5 or 2.01.14? I'm sure you tried reinstalling? Try it once more but DELETE and uninstall everything FF related. In your registry, appdata, folders. Save your bookmarks first though. Then install it again and see if you have problems.

    i would suggest the followings:
    . back up ur bookmarks
. uninstall ur current FFs using this guide ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstall_firefox )
    . reinstall FF2.0.0.14
    . reinstall ur extension /addons
    . update ur bookmarks
. download nightly tester tool and install it
. update ur JRE to the lates 1.6xxx (it can run in parallel with previous versions)
    . UPGRADE to FF3RC1,
. use the nightly tester tool to get ur uncompatible addons to be "compatible"

    some personal notes:
. google toolbar (and google browser tools) is the problem for many browsers - minus IE. They r working on it, to make them "standard"
. u might want to review ur addon/extension again and throw out undeeded/obsolete ones (perfect example is FasterFox) under FF3RC1

    cheers ...
