Whenever im trying to log into my router (in other sites too with similar login),i get a popup (like all of us do) to type the user/pass. When i press a letter the login frame just disappears, says wrong password and then comes back with the letter i typed. Any ideas ?

Maybe check your stored passwords and see if there is a saved one for your router? If there is one, then delete it.
Then sign on to the router.
(just a guess) -
Nop, dont have any saved passwords at all, never use that feature.
-
hmm try clearing your passwords or use password manager like Sxipper

Ive already deleted all the data (when i uninstalled firefox 5 times to try a different version).
I think i might have a software that conflicts with Firefox and not IE, since i just noticed it does that to all 5 versions i just tried. -
Tada....
Found the problem, Vitakey (fingerprint software) apparently conflicts with Firefox but not with IE.
Theres a feature that you can basically use your fingerprints to login to sites instead of typing the passwords. Apparently disabling that feature removes the problem -
Glad that you found it! Good sleuthing!

Trying to figure a way around it, since its a nice feature, no need to type users/pass. But apparently there arent many programs out there that support the M17's fingerprint hardware AND firefox
-
Shame you have to disable things just to use firefox.
-
I dislike IE
Dont ask me why, since i changed from IE to firefox i never thought of going back. I can modify firefox the way i want -
i don't wanna flame and am not trying to make you switch
, i'm only curious: did you try Opera, would it work with M17's fingerprint hardware?
-
Nop only tested IE and firefox with this issue. Last time i tested opera it was probably around v5
At the moment im trying to see if theres a way to fix it, apparently a few other users with fingerprint devices had the same issue. There are a few plugins for Firefox in order to work with programs like these but sadly none of them work for the M17
(most of them work for the micro$oft fingerprint hardware -
Firefox strange issue
