On the flash page where the yellow Download & Install button is, if I click it the mouse does it's busy thing (with the rotating wheel) but nothing happens.
This was really annoying me so I gave up.
I clicked the "Download WLM" link in the start menu which directed me to its download page. When I click the "Get it Free" button, same thing happens.
    Help???

Check your firewall and also check the settings for downloads under ControlPanel/InternetOptions.

    No firewall enabled atm..
    Nothing unusual in the CP...
I think I'll wait until after I reformat tomorrow and if it's still a problem there I'll try playing around again...

Have you tried downloading a different extension (XPI) file onto the harddrive first. And then getting Firefox to install from the HD?

Ok, I solved it (flash anyway).
I right clicked the button "Agree and Install" and selected "copy link location."
Then I just pasted the link into the browser. Seems the page just wasn't redirecting me to the page properly.

I had a similar problem on the last deployment of the FF2. I think I just ignored it until FF3 came out. It was an annoying problem.
