Hello. I'm trying to capture footage from an HV20 camera. For some reason, when I connect with Firewire Windows 7 Pro does not see the camera. At first I thought it was the camera but I tested it on an XP computer and it found it.
I tested my external HDD with firewire on my laptop's port and it worked fine.
I tried using the legacy driver and it didn't work. I tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling; didn't work.
Heck I even bought an expresscard with firewire and that didn't work either.
What's going on?

64 bit?
If so, check this out, fixed my problem with Vista 64bit, haven't tried it with Windows 7 64bit yet though.

I reformatted my HD and that didn't fix it.
If it's a bad firewire port I understand but why wouldn't even an expresscard work? Doesn't make sense.
Firewire will not see video camera
