Ok, so today I got my new laptop! I started watching a YouTube video in Chrome, and all of a sudden my touchpad and trackpoint froze... The computer didn't freeze though as I was still able to use my mouse, it would only happen for a few seconds though.

Chrome & Flash are all up-to-date.

    Any ideas?

Can you repeat the problem or did it happen only once? Had that happen once with Firefox but was never able to repeat it. Maybe just a glitch somewhere?

It happens everytime I watch a YouTube video. I'll give it a whirl in Firefox and see if it still happens.

EDIT: Nope, even happens on Firefox.

I am sorry but I am not sure what can be done to remedy your sitch Joel. Personally I feel that Flash has gotten so bloated that it slows down the fluidity of web browsing. Scrolling through flash filled pages never used to give me problems on Windows but with every successive release there is a decline in a comfortable and acceptable web browsing session. Using Linux gives me somewhat better results so for my situation and circumstances buggy Flash results seem to be symptomatic on windows.

Perhaps you can try viewing your youtube content in HTML5 instead? I still am not quite sure how it works but here is the site for HTML5. Good luck :)

That's alright.. Flash certainly isn't like it used to be. HTML5 YouTube works fine! I never even thought of that.. lol. Thanks! :)
