    Hello everyone,

I have a very peculiar situation. I own a ASUS 1015PN and I have installed the latest flash player version (10.3.181.34). The strange thing is that I am able to play flash content such as youtube when the power options on my computer is on high performance. The moment I change my power option to power saver or balanced, the youtube video IMMEDIATELY stalls and crashes a second later. If I change it back to high performance and refresh the page, the video works fine again.

Another strange thing I found is that the youtube videos work on balanced power option when plugged in, but the moment I unplug the AC power to go into battery power, the video IMMEDIATELY stalls and crashes.

I've been tinkering with all the advanced power options to no avail.
This is a very strange problem, but does anyone have any clue why this would happen?

I have reinstalled flash player and firefox several times.

I've had a similar problem, videos wouldn't play AT ALL after I installed the latest version of flash. I did reboots and countless stuff... the problem would happen on firefox, chrome and IE too..

I managed to fix it, finally, by downgrading to an older version of flash - check the website out for older versions. Videos work fine now.

Hope that works out for you

    Downgrading is always an option.
But the another piece of information I'd like to add is my XPS 15, my desktop replacement laptop runs Windows 7 (64-bit however) and I'm not seeing this problem.

    Hello JOSEA,

I have not tried that option. Where would I find that option?
I am assuming I'm using the 32-bit version as I am using a 32-bit operating system.

Yes I am using the 32 bit version also, OPen a video (i guess you will have to do it on AC since it crashes on Battery). Hit the pause button, right click on the video screen- settings- click the first button that looks like a monitor- you should be in display and uncheck enable hardware accel..
    Hope this helps, J
