Is there a program I can put on a floppy or usb drive so I can reformat a computer with no OS on it.

You can make a Windows boot disc found here:
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
When you get to the command prompt, type format c: and say yes.
I know things, things that could get me killed
Thinkpad T41:

DaGreek, you can only "say yes" if you have voice recognition software loaded on your win 98 boot disk, otherwise, you will have to type "y" and press enter

DaGreek, in case what you are looking to do is total erasure of your hard drive prior to selling it, you may want to check out a program named Autoclave, it totally erases your hard drive by writing and rewriting data onto it.

if you dont have a floppy drive you can make your usb drive bootable. most computers SHOULD support usb booting but some dont, so check it out. if you are trying to reimage a computer you can just throw in the xp cd and it will format it to whatever you want, if you want to format another drive for storage just connect it to a computer and use the windows disk manager, if its a laptop drive use a usb enclosure.
