Just saw this on the BBC Flick program, i am busy seeing if it is any good, I have used the change lighting option, it has a day night setting, and a slider to adjust.
It might be total rubbish but i am giving it a go.

Most of them dont, and it normal controls the brightness of the screen, this controls the tint.
Give it a go for a day or two then comment, it`s only a small program and easily removed. -
I have used it for quite a while and it works great, you get used to it really fast too.
specially when looking at web pages / word files and such at late night, big white areas can be super hard on your eyes, this program will change that. -

The default setting looks wrong to me, I use the change lighting option and adjust the day/night slider till the screen looks right, does this defeat the point of the program, or are you suppose to do this.

Personally, I don't find this to be a problem, though. I also want the colors I see during the day to be the same as the ones I see at night -
If you change anything but that, you are not using it correctly. -

Yeah, I did that when i first installed it.

I have been using this on my MacBook Pro on the OS X side for about a month and I gotta say, as simple as this sounds, it actually gives significantly less strain on the eyes. For the first couple days it is weird, but you get used to it.
As an experiment on night I turned it off and within 10-15 minutes without Flux I got a headache.
