Just wondering if anybody here uses Foobar2000?

Thinking of changing to it but wondering how easy it is to customise it as i know it is very customisable.

    Thanks

I use it pretty extensively after I found out about it. It simply is the best player out there. It is very customizable indeed, I use it because of the unicode support, mass tagging (can also auto-tag based on filename or from freedb), mass renaming (based on tagz scripts) and it can even set up your albums into directory structures etc., replaygain, being able to set exactly how you want your play list to look etc (with the use of TagZ script, which I believe has also been adopted by Winamp 5.xx+). It also is as low on resources as Winamp 2.91, which is great for my laptop with only 512 ram. The person who wrote foobar2000 was actually a developer of Winamp 3 (this was phased out I believe due to Winamp 5) How long does it take to configure? Well that depends on a couple things like:
    1) Are you planning on doing everything yourself (comes with a syntax reference but you import scripts from other people)
    2) Do you know understand tagz script, (prior knowledge to programming helps)

My first config took like 7 hours to write but now it takes around 20 minutes.
