    Format pavilion dv6-3006tx notebook

    I would like to do a complete format of the hard drive removing all partitions and install Windows 7 and then partition as I want.
    Can anyone please help me

    You have supplied me with some great information.
    However what I want to do is format the whole hard drive, then form a partition of 40 gig and install Windows 7 on this partition.

    Just boot up to a Windows 7 disc and use the partition editor it gives to partition the way you want, and then just proceed to install windows 7
