So I formated my hard drive, re-installed windows xp, now when I boot up I'm giving the option to choose an OS.
Both choices are of course 'Windows XP Home Edition'

Question is how can I get rid of one of the options so it boots straight into windows?

    Thanks.

Edit boot.ini a hidden system file in the root of the drive and remove the one you don't want there.

Open Windows Explorer. In the menu bar, select 'tools' then 'folder options'. In folder options select the 'view' tab. About half way down the window will be an option to show hidden files. Select it, then close window and go to your root drive, usually 'C'. The file will now appear.

There is no need to mess around with showing hidden files to do this. All you have to do is right click on my computer then select properties -> advanced-> startup and recovery settings and then press the edit button. That will show you the boot configuration (i.e boot.ini) then all you have to do from there is remove the one you don't want, and restart windows. Then upon startup it will load straight up without any options appearing. :)

It is better to go through the interface when one is provided. :)
