All the sudden it has an error and can't open files. I tried to uninstall it and it seemed to uninstall but when I tried to re download and re-install, it says that I should close my FoxitReader to proceed with the installation but the FR is not even open.

Take a look in the task manager and see if foxitreader.exe is open. It is probably bugged.

Ok this time it says I should uninstall Foxit to proceed but then when I click uninstall it gives another error, so I can't uninstall nor re install.

I tried loggin in with a newly created administrator account and removed it then re installed again but same error when I try to open it in the original administrator account.

Should I still try the 30 day trial of Revo?

I am a bit paranoid, so the first time I used revo I did a full system image of my system. Revo removed quite a few registy entries and did fix an issue I was having with a java install, and I did not have to use the image after all.
So yes run it instead of the foxit/windows uninstall.. reboot and Foxit should install.

Another approach do a clean boot, then start windows uninstaller manually. Then uninstall Foxit. Then do a regular boot and do the install
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

I should have asked this first.. Do you have any problems uninstalling other programs?
