I discovered some problem with Foxit reader today![]()
I have certain pdf files which have some text in italics. Foxit reader reads, displays, and prints the text as normal text.
I found this when I printed some of my conference papers which had text in italics.
I just freaked out to find all my italicization lost!!
This would be fine for most of the people who use Foxit just for reading the pdf's.
This post is just to make people aware of this fact so that they don't freak out the way I did.
View the test file attached with both : Adobe Acrobat Reader and Foxit Reader to notice the difference

Foxit Reader 2.2 Build 2129 on Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. Same problem Foxit reader displays, and prints the text as normal text.

I have Version 2.2 Build 2129 on Windows XP Home SP2 and the test.pdf shows no italics. It must be a new version bug. It will probably be addressed in the next build. Yeah, that would have freaked me out also, but I couldn't complain because it is free and I do only use it to read documents.

Are the 3 posts above me from the same person, because the signatures are basically the same??
