Took a while (like for getting the Windows 7 Beta key) but I got in eventually.

You are aware that only Acronis TrueImage 11 is compatible with Vista and up, correct?

Ok, so where does one actually download version 10? The only download link I can find is for the suite.
Gary -
By the way, has anyone ever used Acronis with ext3 filesystems? I have searched the Acronis website extensively, however it seems that only their corporate software supports it. Can anyone confirm this?

I click the link and the page blanks and I get nada.
Their online chat appears to be unmanned...
-
Taking it that you already have the serial?
Then you must first register the serial. Then in My Account, you will see registered products. That is where the download and the serial relating to it situate.

ok, then just need to be patient. The server is probably bombed, it took me 4 tries to get the complete download. If not, I will upload the file somewhere and IM you the link later. Shoot me a note, I need to run now, and will be checking back in in one hours time.
cheers ... -
The registration page hasn't work for me in several attempts. Also, I'm reluctant to try ATI 10 since it appears it doesn't work with XP SP#. However, Seagate DiscWizard (strip down version) does and I think it's older than ATI 10.
Edit: I got through registration. Anyone know how long it takes for the email? -

I never could get the link to work by clicking on the download text or button. It would just sit there with a blank screen. But what DID work was to right click on the download text and select "copy shortcut". Then I pasted the URL in a new tab and Voilà I got a download.
Gary -
After getting the registration email with serial number; login to user account; download; all went flawless.
Thanks a million, OP! -
cheers ... -
I've got this...
-
Their system does take a long while to get the serial mailed out. Many had to wait for 24hrs or more. You can also try to sign in, and manage the account as described in previous posts, and in many times/caes, the serial is already there for you.

Y'all be careful, Wilder's Security forum has numerous threads with problems using ATI. One guy needed the back up he created to save him from ATI. LOL... -
I use Acronis since version 7 on many instances, cloning, backing up, restore etc. Never yet experiencing any bad effects.

Back in Aug 2007 I remember seeing version 8 for sale at a really good price but was talked into buying the much more expensive version 10 because it supported Vista even though I didn't have vista at the time. So I got home, registered it and three weeks later got an email from Acronis saying version 11 was available and at less than what I paid for version 10.Then a little later on I discovered Seagate Discwizard (Acronis in sheeps clothing with a few functions missing). Now 10 is free LOL. Never mind, it was worth the money, saved me a lot of heartache
Also with my paid for version 10 it doesn't understand AHCI controllers, I think it's OK if you run from an OS using AHCI but I use a bootable CD as I have a lot of partitions on the HD to back up. Now I've switched to native IDE all is sweet again. -
Never did get the serial number and I tried with three different email accounts.

Did you get ANY reply? The serial number only comes AFTER you reply to the initial email. Did you check the contents of your spam folder(s) for possible false filtering?

I just tried again (with yet another email) and got this which was the 1st time I've seen the page in the attachment

Hiker, I am getting the same "error". I click on the link in my e-mail to validate my registration, then I get the same screen as you saying that there was a problem, and that the key is incorret, even though I have not yet been given one.

Hi.
I just clicked on the registration link in the email and it worked, and a big you are registered
message appears.
I have just received my serial no email.
So go at it guys!

Problem is, it says the the product is on a CD from a mag. Anyone have a download link?
"The installation package can only be obtained from a promo campaign partner." -

qhn helped me find it:

Logged in and the only thing I see is this.
"The installation package can only be obtained from a promo campaign partner"
This was also in the email.
"We'd like to remind you that the product installation package is not published on Acronis Web Site. It can only be obtained from a CD included in your copy of magazine."
My product is registered, just don't have one. -

Apparently others are getting the same.

Oh well, I'll stick with DiscWizard. -
Actually ATI 10 Personal looks just like Seagate DiscWizard. It doesn't appear to have incremental back-ups, just full.

Looks like ATI 10 P has a couple extras over SDW such as a secure zone and start up recovery manager. Does anyone know if it has scheduling?

Good news guys! I finally got my serial numbers for the Acronis software after about a day or two of waiting, but when I went to download the file, Acronis had removed it from their server. So, after doing some digging, I found a place to download it!
Extra thanks go to Hackman over at MPC for uploading the file on RapidShare.
Thread concerning the Acronis software download is at MaximumPC, located HERE. The actual download is the following URL:
http://rapidshare.com/files/194860012/TrueImage10.0_p_en.exe
If this violates rules, please accept my apologies and remove this post. Thanks. =) -
Thanks for sharing.
Has anyone used the secure zone or the start up recovery manager? And how do they work? They seem to be the only things different than DiscWizard.
Added: Scratch that, found the info here...

OK, now that's settled has anyone used ATI 10 personal, done a restore with XP SP3, used the secure zone and start up recovery? -
No problem! Glad that I was able to help. =)
