My friend has got some files he wants to burn to a DvD and he has a DvD-RW drive albeit an early one. The problem is he has no software to burn the files he wants to DvDs. If anyone knows of any reliable programs that are free... please post here. They just need very minimal functionality.. dragging and dropping a folder onto a DvD.

Edit: saw CdBurnerXp in the sticky but wasn't sure if it is reliable.

Ok, but can anyone recommend a specific program that is also devoid of spyware, etc.

I've burned a lot of data DVDs using CDBurnerXP and it is pretty reliable from my experience.

I have been using burn4free for 2 years, not had any probs as of yet.

    http://www.burn4free.com/

if you do install, uninstall the burn4free toolbar in your browser afterwards, as there isnt an option not to install it.

Dude, did you even read the OP?
If he has an early burner, odds are he isn't running Vista. XP and before barely had CD support and nothing before Vista had any native DVD burning software, so just what did you mean?
