This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Because "TANSTAAFL"(There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch). So you get a free product with no official technical support(all you get is the manual and NBR :D).

    Besides "freeware" has been overused and its meaning has been unclear.
    Freeware can mean Shareware or software that can be downloaded off of the Internet for free(free software) and then there is Open-Source which is a whole other matter :cool:


    And i like to use quotes :p

    If you have a WD or Seagate Acronis is free. Search their website or find the utility disk that came with your drive.
