sony order website went live today to order your 'free' upgrade
£20 delivery charge is a joke
just wondering how much others are paying/ being charged by whatever company they are getting there 'free' upgrade from?
ps.. i ordered it anyway but i was just wondering if it differs from the student offer which is an upgrade copy for £30. obviously this will be a sony copy but any other differences?
-
Wow I can't believe they are doing that but I am not surprised.
-
I had to pay 21.99GBP for it. I am getting it from HP.
-
£15 in the UK from Dell, but apparently free in the US, Canada and Australia...
-
LOL = Sony.
As Alpine said, it's free from Dell for us North Americans & Oz. -
Can't say I'm surprised as I saw this in the news a while back, but still, it's rather disappointing that an OEM would want to nickle and dime their customers the way the airline industry does. Especially when it's an OEM like Sony, who already charges premium prices.
-
i think this is happening to anyone not in the US (at least with HP)
-
20 USD for Romania - Acer
-
That's crazy, $35 for a supposed upgrade... especially when microsoft and the manufacturers were touting these upgrades as incentives for consumers to purchase early rather than wait for the release date?
I just downloaded it for $30 because I am a student which makes it seem all the more idiotic. -
Not to troll, but seriously??? They could have been upfront an honest about it from the begining instead of saying FREE!!!!!!ZZZ!!!.
Apple was honest in regards to there update.
Leave it to the vendors to screw there customers. -
