Yay. I purchased my new Acer laptop on June 12th. Rules are rules, and technically, I don't qualify for the free upgrade.

But has anyone had any success in calling their laptop manufacturer, and getting them to bend a bit on the purchase date requirement?

    Regards,

I haven't heard of any instances. I really doubt you'd succeed. Maybe a day or so I could see, but two weeks is likely to be "sorry."

I don't suppose it'd hurt to try though. And really it's the only way you'll know for sure. Just 'cuz someone else here says they succeeded doesn't mean you would; and just 'cuz nobody here has succeeded doesn't mean you won't.

    Good luck.
