    Blu-Ray decryption is subject to licensing of player software, and each player has to pay a fee in order to be listed, and possibly turned off in the future if their implementation is found to be hackable and give up the keys to decrypt a disc. This pretty much makes free Blu-Ray player software a "never gonna happen" affair.

    If you're curious, this will tell you more about AACS and Blu-Ray encryption schemes.
