Is there a freeware software that's somewhat better than Windows Movie Maker? I'd like to have at least 2 video and audio spaces in the timeline. Maybe better animations and such. If you know of anything then give me the website address. It's not a big deal if there isn't anything, I might buy a better one someday if there isn't anything.
    Thanks

I must say that I have tried to look for a good program that is better than wmm and that can actually make a dvd (which wmm can't) but without luck. So I ended up with Magix movie edit pro, and what a buy. Very cheap, very fast and reliable, and also very advanced if needed. Can only recommend that program which is worth every dollar spend ;)

I just downloaded Avid Free DV. Don't know if it's what you're looking for but it's fairly popular.

The programs I use (and have had professional friends tell me are almost as good as what they pay big $$$'s for) is Jahshaka on Sourceforge.Net and its cousin JahshakaFX which have the added benefit of running under the big-3 OS's: XP, OSX, & Linux...

Thanks all. I'm not worried about being able to burn a DVD from the video editing software. I'll try the other's when I get the chance.
