I'm planning to purchase the Z61t during or after August or maybe the T60(again) and I was wondering if I can just install a fresh OS on there or do I have to do something else? Will I be able to download every softwares from Lenovo website? Thanks

You will probably need the SATA drivers. Make sure you burn off the recovery discs before you start. Yes the drivers/apps are located on Lenovo's site.

The other option is simply place the Sata Driver on a CD, when you start up the windows setup it should ask you to press....F6 I think it is if you need to use a sata driver after which you can direct it to the file on the CD you've made.

ZaZ offers a more solid solution, if you can make those first you should. The other option is usually just a quickie and gets the job done.
