I'm not sure if anyone can answer this question yet, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Im wondering if I buy the Windows 7 upgrade to Vista will I be able to install a full fresh copy of 7 from the disk or will I have to install Vista first and then 7 on top of that always. I'm just a little anal retentive that way. It would bug me if I couldnt have the install as clean as possible, ya know?

My Dell e1505 came with XP installed. I got the free upgrade when Vista was released. I was able to do a clean install with the upgrade disk and I have done several clean installs since.

If the Win 7 upgrade disks work like the Vista upgrades disks, then you won't have any problems.
