    Fresh install

    Im really stuck with this 1 so if anyone can help it would be grate, i have a sony VGN-NR320E/S laptop 250gb harddrive 4gb memory 8400m gt nvidia (512) graphics. i recent had win vista os installed 32bit was not recgonising the extrx 1gb of memory due 2 me having 32bit installed i look at my system to see if it was 64bit ready, it was, i put win 7 64bit version it was not pickin up my graphics so what i want to do now is do a fresh install using a win xp cd but everytime i try to carry on with format it comes up with it's not picking up harddrive at all, on previous laptops i just went into bios and disabled sata or changed it to ide but with this laptop i can seem to do that is there a way i can????????
