    Hey..

    I have a Dell Precision M90
    Intel Centrino Duo 2.33 ghz
    4 gb ram
    512 mb Nvidia quadro fx3500m
    Windows XP SP3

Nowadays when i try to start a program it just shows me a sand-timer icon for a while as if its gonna open and then does not open at all.

The problem occurs with any random software...firefox, photoshop, games, media player, explorer etc.

Even if i give a shutdown or restart command it doesnot happen..

I am forced to switch it off using the power key...

I donot have any heavy processes going on in the back. I use rocket dock and a sticknote software. I have smart defrag and Bit defender running behind.

PLS HELP. This happens atleast once everyday...
