So I have vista ultimate on my new laptop. I cant STAND that stupid security prompt wanting permission to do EVERYTHING. I had vista on my old hp so I known how to change it. I went to the control panel and to security then to "change the way security center alerts me" to NO bubble and no prompt or whatever. It doesnt work! Ive tried it over and over and over again and it will not shut off...is there something I am missing? Im the only user on this laptop so I have admin abilities to do it.

Whats the secret? What am I missing?

what you are searching for is the UAC - User Account Control. you can switch it off at the user accounts, and the double and triple permission prompting is gone.
