I have a HEL80 laptop with a Go 7600 video card. The problem with it is that Vista will not recognize the card. I have tried to install the driver included on a disc that was included with my laptop but that is not compatible with Vista, I tried searching for a driver online but none seem to work.

under video devices it says "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and also that the device is working properly. What can I do about this?

Check out the Vista drivers at www.nvidia.com...you'll need that.

Nvidia's official driver do not include support for mobile GPU's. You will have to mod the inf file to support the mobile GPU's. You can download the inf file from laptopvideo2go( here) and replace the stock inf file(should be located in C:\Nvidia folder) with this. Then run setup.

What model/maje laptop are you using? Have you checked the support site of your manufacturer for updated Vista drivers. If they havent then you will need to download the driver from either nvidia or laptoplogic2go. The drivers from the CD wont work since they are designed for XP not Vista. Nvidia has the 97.46 as the RTM driver for Vista(32bit). The same driver is listed on laptopvideo2go. Download the driver & the modded inf from here...
    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12185

Then follow the instructions to extract & install the drivers...
