Hey, I just picked up a Lenovo T60 laptop.

Is there any advantage to getting the video driver for my ATI mobility Radeon X1400 card from ATI's website directly? Or should I stick with getting the driver from the Lenovo website to ensure compatibility?

Out of box, if things are working, ya know what they say, if it isn't broke dont fix it.. stick with the same driver
IF/When you go to update the drive , I would use the manfactuer driver (ati) of the device - if you run into issues / performance problems then you would want try the Lenovo -

I would leave it alone, I updated my driver for the same card and things got funky real fast. resolution options i once had dissapeard, fonts looked funky,Icons looked funky. So i just rolled it back and everything is fine.

Hm. I always have thought that generic Ati drivers are better. Well as other people said if it works and you are satisfied with the performance - stick to it.

    Cheers,
