I have ~50 CDs that I ripped to a .wav format with EAC.

I've added/found all of the metadata in WMP(artists/title/number/etc) but WMP refuses to write the info to the .wav file itself.

I've tried tools/apply media information but it doesn't do anything to the file itself.

What am I doing wrong?

WAV format does not support ID3 tags. in fact, there's nothing about the container that supports anything but the audio itself. hate to be the bearer of bad news but you've only wasted your time adding what's sometimes called "CD info" to your WMP library. i believe FLAC on the other hand does support ID3 metadata.

as an aside, i would start using a different program/utility to tag your music files (e.g. windows explorer). WMP is, well--beat, for lack of a better word.
