    HI,
my laptop model is in my signature. The problem is that my laptop freezes too often and gives me the blue screen and restarts. I have to .dmp minidump files for all of them, but I don't know ow to read these and wouldn't understard them after all. Can anyone "translate" these dmp file if I upload them somewhere?

Sounds like it could be a memory problem. You should try and download and run Memtest86. I don't know about the translation of the .dmp file.

Also, a reformat might help, I had lots of blue screens on my 2nd reformat, memory errors, I ram memtest82 but it oftened BSoD's before it finished!

I did a full reformat, and a full recovery and now its running fine!

I haven't done the memtest yet, but I just did a format few days ago. Before that, I still had blue screens sometimes. My comp sometimes lock up when I'm opening the Ati Control Center. When I tryed Omega drivers then just after clicking on the Ati Tray Tool icon, the system gave be a blue screen. Once it froze after I did 3dmark03 and wanted to open the browser for the results.
PS. From FS Service they said that new BIOS version is out. Will flash it later and also perform the memtest86+.

Did the memtest86+ and posted a picture of it. Funny, that it shows me the 800 MHz for CPU speed - it's just 800 when it's idle. Are the Sempron's L1 and L2 cache sizes really so low?

When I run Everest with NHC as a background service, everest reports 800mhz as the clock as well. Not a big deal.

I got a few BSODs when I started using my new computer as well. After updating some drivers, it is running much more stable. In fact, it hasn't randomly restarted since. It's just about finding the right mix for your hardware configuration.

    Good luck!

OK. I guess the blue screen is related to the ATI's gpu. Ex. One thing what causes the blue screen sometimes is when I want to open ATI's Control Panel from Display Properties->Settings->Advanved. It seems that it's just a bad luck because I've tried many different ATI, original Fujitsu-Siemens and Omega drivers. Flashed the BIOS this morning - maybe things will get better.

erm, first of all might want to clear all the driver crap. if you have system restore go back to before you began tinkering with the drivers. seems like all the driver installing might be confusing something, possibly.

omega's hacked drivers are better IMO.
