Should I snatch this up? Is it better than Recuva or any other freeware?

It's got good commentsssssssssssssss.

I dont trust that site, most of the software on offer has much better alternatives.
The comments are also always generally good, proabably because those who visit the site dont know much about good software.
I have never seen them offer photoshop or something but once in a rare while something good may come up.
You should search google for reviews of data recovery programs and go from there -
I was about to ask that...
The site seems dodgy and gives away programs that I've never heard of. I'd rather just go to download.com for freewares.
Also, mockups of fake boxes for software annoy me to no end. -

Giveaway of the day offers up the occasional gem. There are a lot of yawns being offered, but once in a while there are some nice things. It's in my RSS reader and over the course of a year I have downloaded and used maybe 4 or 5 apps. It's worth checking each day. I do ALWAYS run an independent Google search on the offering first. I don't trust the comments all that much.
YMMV

You're better off with good back up software than recovery software.
