    Hey all,

I have a fingerprint reader for my Asus computer and they use a program called Asus Security that creates an Identity. You swipe your fingerprint and it will open up your identity and there you have all your passwords stored for websites and also your address for a quick form fill out. Lately this program has not been working for me. I can still swipe my fingerprint to log into windows, I just cant use this program to access my identity. When I try to get to my identity with a fingerprint swipe or a password, the program gets a (Not Responding) thingy then I close it and it says 'Global Virtual Card Host failed' then it will say ' 'The remote procedure call failed'.

I am not sure what to do to fix this problem. Anyone have a clue?

BryanL, it works with mine now, and AFAIK it was the same problem that you mentioned, i could log on to windows using the fingerprint but nothing else afterwards and i also got the error message upon vista finished loading.
the only thing i did is update the driver (which didn“t help any of it) and - i guess thats what did it - went to Control Panel - Asus Security Project Manager and went though the routine there, you can skip the fingerprint scanning as you have already done it, then go ahead as it tells you and by the end, the next time you reboot it will not have the error any more. (instead that configuration thin will pop up everytime you boot so go there again and tell it not to bother any more).

BTW, the fingerprint thing... in my opinion its fine as long as one sees it just as an alternative of typing in username&password all the time.

    hope it works!
