    Hi...

Please see the included image. I just noticed this. Gmail appears different in IE9 and Chrome (at least on my setup). Can you see this too?

I am quite sure that at least 8 hours back Gmail on IE9 used to look like what it looks on Chome.

    Just curious, that's all.

    Thanks,

I dunno why your ie9 doesn't show the cog, mine does.

Yep, same with mine. The condensed cog menu is the newer one used for fully-supported browsers, including Chrome and IE9. The older, separated menu is used in not-fully-supported browsers, such as Opera.

Perhaps try clearing your cookies and cache and see if it'll revert.

Nope did not work. I also uninstalled and reinstalled IE9. On Chrome, however, I can see the cog. I wonder is going on here?

I see it as in your screenshot too... I am not sure, but I thing Chrome's incognito mode also displays it as in you IE but not always, just sometimes...

Without doing anything today....rather just a few moments back, the "cog" mysteriously reappeared on IE9. I have no idea what is going on!

they're just slowly enabling it in different scenarios (==depends on user account, app, browser, os, etc). so you'll see it more and more over time, till it's everywhere. till then, random appearences depending on the stuff noted above.

Well before that "cog" disappeared, it was always present in IE9 ever since its Beta days.
