    Hi...

Quick question: Are you folks seeing something very odd about the Gmail login page? All gibberish (or a language) which I do not understand? I have not logged in though. I have tried this using IE8, Opera and Chrome.

    Can you confirm this?

EDIT: I have scanned my machine with Avira and Avast - no problems reported. And all other site seem to be working as they should.

    Here is a screen shot:

I just attached a screenshot!!! I have no idea what's going on! Still happening on all 3 browsers. I should clarify that I have not tried logging in deliberately because of this.

Edit: Its not any unknown language appearing on the Gmail login page, but some characters from the usual login page that are missing. You can see that in the attached pic.

April fool's day? The day is almost over here! Lol!!! I forgot, Google is on the other side of the world! So yeah, that makes sense!

So, the next question is, if it was not April 1, and the same thing happened, then what? In other words, how do you distinguish between a joke and something that is not?

According to the post at this link, it is a problem at Google's end. Of course, they could come back later and say that was an April Fool's joke too which, by the looks of it, is the case!

I have admit I look forward to Gmail's yearly prank, but I think maybe they took it far this time. I mean dropping all the vowels is funny and all but it kind of gives the impression that Gmail was hacked or your computer infected with malware or something. With phishing being such a problem these days maybe playing with the login screen was not the best idea.

A combination of PEBACK, PICNIC and beyond problems...! :D

Actually, this is what I initially thought. More of a problem for me because I generally forget what day and month it is. The only things important for me are the time (including AM or PM) and the year - well, at least for the moment. If I knew it was April 01, maybe I would have figured it out, but I ain't holding my breath!
