I have downloaded gmail's app on my windows computer

I am trying to find out what my gmail chat status message is and delete it.

I can't seem to find it. There used to be a section with my name and a green circle next to people's names who were active on google and I would click on names to be able to talk to them.

It is supposed to look like this with green and yellow camera pictures

Do you have these two icons?

When I click either of them and then my name I can scroll down in the little window that pops up and see "Share your status".

Did you try to conatct Gmail support that would be the right people to contact for their software problem. From the looks of it this isn't a Windows problem and best directed towards Gmail support.
