Someone was asking me about getting the Media Center OS on a laptop they are looking at. I know it has a DVR feature (not very useful when you're mobile), but, not having much experience with it, I wanted to put this out to the community for feedback on their actual experience with WinXP Media Center (preferably on a laptop). Good, bad, useful, not, etc.

    Cheers,

    Stevo

I think it's useless on a notebook that plans on being mobile at all. It's designed for a media PC that will be the hub of a home entertainment system. Something that will be used for storing music, movies and recording TV...those sorts of things. Anyway, I see a productive life for Media Center on very very few notebooks. Yes, that was two verys.
