What's a really good 2nd browser for Windows 7 64 Bit?
I've always been a huge supporter of Firefox but lately I've been kinda dissappointed. I don't know about others and I won't claim that this is widespread but lately Firefox has been
1) Freezing a LOT
2) Crashing several times
3) Seems to be as slow as IE most of the time
Every time I see an update I keep thinking that it will improve but so far I haven't noticed any improvements at all. Also I know that Safari from Apple i offered in 64 Bit flavor but I don't think Firefox is (correct me if I'm wrong).
Anways I was looking into other browsers and so far I'm leaning towards Opera 10.0 or Google Chrome. My problem with Chrome though is that it's so different. There's no pull down tab. And no way to set a home page from I've seen. I don't like the whole panel of various websites at the beginning.
So I just wanted to get others opinions. Whats a really fast browser on Windows 7? Any sites out there with reviews of the current versions of each browser and comparisons?

If I were you I'd just download them and see what I like the best. It's not like you have to pay for them or anything, so no harm done if you don't like it and want to uninstall it.
Safari is another option you might want to think about.
Also you can set your home page as something different in chrome. Here are the steps.
1. Click the wrench menu wrench menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Click the Basics tab.
4. In the 'Home page' section, set your home page:
* The New Tab page: This page is pre-populated with the web resources you use the most, such as your most visited sites and recent bookmarks. To use this page, just select 'Use the New Tab page.'
* To use a different webpage, select 'Open this page,' then enter the web address of the page you want to use.
5. To see your home page every time you start up Google Chrome, select 'Open the home page' in the 'On startup' section.
6. Click Close. -
I've been using Chrome for a long time and I love it. I found it's much faster than Firefox if you don't mind not having plug-ins.

you need to use Firefox and figure out what plug-in is causing the instability.
I had to disable the Skype plug-in, then I had smooth sailing. -
Both IE and Firefox have the downward facing arrow (drop down arrow I think it's called). Yet when I've used Safari on Macs and Google Chrome on friends computers I notice that there is no such arrow in those browsers. And I can't figure out if there's a way to get that arrow back. I find it very useful for going to and from the websites I frequent most.
So do you know of a way to get that address arrow in Google Chrome? And does Chrome run extremely fast in Windows 7?
