I'm using Firefox and I don't really like their download manager that comes with the software. Any recs for a good download manager that can resume downloads and such?

Free Download Manager used it over the summer and was pretty good. Has all the features you might need and no ads or spyware

I use flashget http://www.amazesoft.com/, it's the best dload manager I have used so far. If you download the free version, there will be an ad banner in the window, but it doesn't have any other adware or spyware apart from that banner, which can be blocked by certain ad blocking devices like Norton AntiSpam.

Adobe Acrobat has a download manager - might want to try that out. ;)

I found FDM just as good as flash get and maybe even better (they are quite simillar). I liked the way it handles multiple server downloads. So why pay! :D

Another very good manager is MassDownloader, although the older versions seemed better than the last ones. It certainly has everything FG has; it would be nice thing to compare those as far as speed is concerned but I bet MD would be faster.

Leechget 2002, and Net Transport 1.87. The old versions that were free. I can send the install files over if you want it.
