    Best browser. Ever.

It's amazing. I love it. Completely owns everything.

I must say, Google is doing a good job of paving its way to making it's own "operating system"

I'm using it right now. I can't say if it's better than FF3 yet, but I'm liking it so far.

    It's good but...

Doesn't prompt you when you press X... You could lose all those tabs accidentally (I have done several times already!)

I wish it'd have the "save as" feature IE does for downloading files, instead of putting everything in the same directory.

Other than that, yeah, it's cool.

FireFox is still #1 for me.
Chrome will need to have a zillion plugins before it can truly compete.

But for someone who rarely uses plugins, Chrome just might be better & no doubt quicker.

The Touch pad bug(can't scroll up, only down) is too much for me to deal with at the moment. When they fix that, then I might use it more often.

Whoa Whoa Whoa!!!!....easy there now. It's a good beta, but that's a strong statement there...I don't believe it's the best yet. There's a tad bit more add-ins/features to be added before it becomes best. Nevertheless, i'm really loving it so far.

Google chrome will never leave the BETA stage to cover their behinds from heavy criticisms.

Have a look at Google Earth lol

We'll in Google's defense, most of their Betas seem to out perform full version competitors. Gmail being the best example when it was beta.

I agree, a prompt, or an option for one, would be nice, but I have set it to open the tabs from the previous session when I open the program, so I don't lose them. Have you tried that?

You can also set it to ask you where to save each file. I believe you must do the same for most browsers, or they will all go to the same directory.

There aren't that many options yet, but your issues can all be resolved by a setting somewhere in the options.

You can change that blue theme.... Click Here!
Having a prompt is a life saver...and IMO the previous tabs session feature isn't as ideal.
I guess there wasn't enough...this thread was moved from the Off Topic section!

It has both of those, you have to enable them in the options if you want though. Found under the wrench on the right hand side under that notorious X of yours.

I think it's more of a philosophy by Google of products never being totally complete. Regardless, it hasn't appeared to stop people from using their products.

Heh, I tend to me a minimalist when it comes to browsers, so I am already enjoying over IE7 and FF3. Still, until it fixes some embarrassingly large bugs I won't be replacing either of the other two browsers soon.
    Huge issues for me:
    -No middle-click scroll
    -No scroll up using touchpads
    -Severely lag my computer
    -No RSS feed support

That's my same reaction. I though it was out of beta with people where able to sign-up without an invite. And I also remember awhile ago when people were saying it's no longer in beta. Did they put Gmail back on beta

Anyway who cares, gmail works flawless for me :D
